Abstract
A first attempt to find a measure of sex drive in terms of an easily quantifiable response involved the determination of various latencies connected with the turning a small wheel by male albino rats under sexual reinforcement. Other latencies associated with the more natural or consummatory sex responses were also determined. Although little correlation appeared to exist between these two types of latency, a significant correlation was found between number of wheel revolutions during extinction and previous consummatory sex responses. Investigation of possibilities suggested by this latter finding is continuing. Keywords
