Abstract
Four antifungal avenacins are isolated from oat roots: the structures of their ‘aglycones’, avenestergenins A–1, A–2, B–1, and B–2, are shown to be N-methylanthranilic or benzoic esters of an unusually oxygenated oleanane triterpene.Keywords
