Search forBe10as a Product of Ternary Fission

Abstract
The possibility of the formation of Be10 as a product of ternary fission of U235 has been investigated radio-chemically. An upper limit of 4×104% fission yield was determined. This low value is inconsistent with the recently proposed assignment of the 0.15-sec delayed-neutron period to Li9.
