Abstract
Binary diffusion coefficients for the Kr-CO and Kr-NO systems have been measured in the temperature range 1 to 46°C by the two-bulb technique of Ney and Armistead using radioactive Kr 85 as tracer. Unlike interaction parameters have been obtained on the Lennard-Jones (12:6) model from the observed D 12 values and compared with those obtained from the combination rules and the force constants of CO and NO from viscosity as well as from B ( T ) data. It has been observed that the weakly polar gases CO and NO can safely be treated as nonpolar because of their small dipole moments. Keywords
