Abstract
The constitutive equation derived in a previous paper relating electric current and field in an isotropic material which is subjected to a time‐independent deformation is applied to the solution of the problem of electrical conduction in a twisted tube of circular cross section to which a longitudinal electric field is applied. It is shown that the current follows a helical path and that an axial magnetic field is produced. Keywords
