Abstract
Leaf consumption by Plathypena scabra (F.) was measured at various temperatures. Leaf consumption by male and female larvae was significantly different, with an average consumption of 116.9 cm2. A green cloverworm leaf-consumption model was established that related larval leaf-feeding to development. Consumption of greenhouse and field leaves also was compared and found significantly different. Consumption of field leaves was only 46.1% of the consumption of greenhouse leaves. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
