Abstract
Streptokinase-therapy is regularly followed by a marked increase of precipitating streptokinase-antibodies. These antibodies cause a significant inhibition of streptokinase-induced plasminogen activation. Counterelectrophoresis is a useful method of tracing the antibodies in serum. For quantitative estimation a modified radial immunodiffusion method is presented. The antibodies were identified as IgG.
