Abstract
The presence of an enkephalin-like substance (humoral endorphin) in human maternal and cord blood and amniotic fluid was demonstrated. Using antibodies to leucine-enkephalin, the level of this substance in maternal and cord blood remained stable during pregnancy; the concentration in amniotic fluid was higher at mid-trimester than during labor at term. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
