Abstract
The problem of opposed-jet diffusion flame is considered for general Lewis numbers. The solutions are obtained by using Modified Flame Surface Theory and Extinction—Ignition characteristics have been brought out. Analysis shows that the gases with high Lewis numbers are preferable for the purpose of flame stabilization. Keywords
