REVELATIONS UPON REVELATION After Shocks, Afterthoughts

Abstract
This essay is written in answer to the commentaries included in the special issue of Interventions on Of Revelation and Revolution, Volume II (RRII) . More than simply reply to critical points raised about the book, however, it seeks to make a series of more general observations and arguments about colonialism and postcoloniality, power and agency, modernity and governmentality, the state, the practice of ethnography and the writing of history.
