Abstract
The use of stimulated Brillouin and Compton scattering is proposed for measurements of ion temperature in a plasma. Experimental spectra are compared with existing theories. Possible applications are discussed. The advantages and disadvantages of this method over Thomson scattering are discussed. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
