Abstract
In order to determine whether a certain part of the small intestine would be preferable for use in urinary diversion, isolated loops of ileum and of jejunum were instilled with radioactive urea (C14) and chloride (Cl36), and the resulting radioactivity in the blood was determined. In 9 out of 10 dogs there was no significant difference of absorption between terminal ileum and of either proximal or distal jejunal segments. Keywords
