Abstract
Summary: A method for the introduction of a bacteriophage DNA into Brevibacterium lactofermenturn protoplasts is described. Frequencies of 105 infective centres per μg DNA were easily achieved, the relationship between the number of infective centres and the amount of DNA being linear up to 5 μg DNA per assay. This method can be used to introduce foreign DNA into these bacteria. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
