Abstract
Trichophyton terrestre, was isolated on 2 occasions in New South Wales, Australia, from soil plates baited with autoclaved human hair. The organism which is keratinophilic and keratinolytic is distinguished by the appearance of the colony and the abundance of small ovoid macroconidia. It produces "Trichophytin" but so far, appears to be non-pathogenic for guinea-pigs.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
