Abstract
The following methoxy-biphenylenes have been prepared: 2,7-dimethoxy-1,3,4,5,6,8-hexamethyl-,2,3,6,7-tetramethoxy-1,8-dimethyl-, and 1,4,5,8-tetramethoxy-2,3,6,7-tetramethyl-biphenylene. Attempts have been made to synthesise the following: 1,2,7,8-tetramethoxy-3,4,5,6-tetramethyl-, 1,8-dimethoxy-2,3,4,5,6,7-hexamethyl-, and 1,4,5,8-tetramethoxy-2,7-dimethyl-biphenylene.Keywords
