Abstract
Previous studies by others have "shown . . . that the near sightedness induced by the (empty) visual field at high altitude may account in part for difficulties in detecting planes." The present study shows that this condition cannot be corrected by design of equipment and indicates "the possibility of improvement in air-to-air search by personnel selection.Keywords
