Abstract
A method is described for the assessment of the local reaction produced by intramuscular injections. This method involves the histological examinations of the injection site after injection of material into the hamstring muscles of the rat. The results obtained with both aqueous and oily materials are described; the correlation of these results with clinical observations in man is discussed. Keywords
