Abstract
The WKB method is employed for a direct calculation of the adiabatic limit and a systematic inclusion of nonadiabatic corrections. Detailed results are presented for spin precession in an arbitrary slowly varying magnetic field. In the special case of a periodic field we recover the well-known result of Berry and extend it to include two nonadiabatic correctionsKeywords
