Abstract
The chemisorption of carbon monoxide and nitrogen on thin nickel films at low temperatures has been studied using the infrared transmission technique combined with the measurement of conductivity changes. The growth of absorption bands during carbon monoxide adsorption is complete before full coverage is reached. The appearance of the spectra and the growth of bands are compared with earlier results. The possible nature of the adsorption sites is briefly discussed. This publication has 19 references indexed in Scilit:
