Computed Tomography of the Heart Using Thallium-201 in Children

Abstract
T-201 emission computed tomography (ECT) was performed in 3 pediatric patients in whom conventional scintigraphy was normal but there was a strong clinical suspicion of myocardial disease. Abnormalities in the distribution of myocardial perfusion appeared sharply delineated with ECT compared to normal conventional gamma camera scintigraphy. Single photon ECT provides a 3 dimensional reconstruction which results in greater enhancement since activity in overlying structures does not interfere.
