Abstract
The authors report six cases of adenoid cystic carcinoma with a view to evaluating the validity of neck dissection in this tumor. Adenoid cystic carcinoma may invade regional lymph nodes by direct extension, but true embolic lymph node metastases are so rare, if they exist at all, that neck dissection may be considered an overtreatment. Keywords
