Abstract
In the summer of 1968, 34 spp. of marine fishes were sampled from Newfoundland coastal waters, the northern Grand Banks, and the Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick [Canada]. Only 2 harbored microsporidans. Glugea branchiale (Nemeczek) was recorded from 3 of 5 haddock Melanogrammus aeglefinus (L.) from the Bay of Fundy, and G. berglax sp. nov. is described from 5 of 7 roughhead grenadiers Macrourus berglax Lacepede, from the Grand Banks. G. anomala (Moniez) is reported from 3 of 48 threespine sticklebacks, Gasterosteus aculeatus L., examined in the Bay of Fundy in July 1958.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
