Abstract
An exact analysis of linear circuits containing periodically operated switches with exponentially modulated cisoidal inputs using the state-space approach is presented. Explicit closed form solutions for both the time and frequency domain suitable for digital computation are obtained. The analysis is applicable to any circuit configuration and can handle cases in which discontinuities in state variables occur at the switching instants. Applications of this analysis to the design of switched filters and modulators are discussed. Keywords
