Abstract
A double‐wavelength synchronously mode‐locked cw dye laser is described. This laser consists of two resonators sharing a common amplifier medium, the passive mode locking of one cavity acting as a gain modulator for the second one. When the relative lengths and internal losses of the two oscillators are carefully adjusted, pulses are shown to be generated at two independently tunable wavelengths. Keywords
