Abstract
The extent to which negative transfer effect is a function of time was investigated in rats by using the transfer of a position habit learned in a simple "T" maze to the learning of another "T" maze. The intervals between the learning of the 2 problems were 0, 2, 7, 14, and 28 days. Transfer was negative at 0 interval, became less in effect in the 2 and 7 day intervals and was positive in nature on the 14 and 28 day intervals. Keywords
