Abstract
The general equations of motion of a pre-twisted cantilever blade, mounted encastré at the root, are derived in a previous paper (1) by the author. Secondary effects are not dealt with although there are three such effects to be considered. The effect of torsion bending is the subject of a subsequent report (2). The present paper derives the general equations of motion of a pre-twisted cantilever blade allowing for torsion bending, rotary inertia and deflections due to shear. The potential and kinetic energy relationships are given and by use of the standard variational approach the equations of motion and corresponding boundary conditions are deduced. Keywords
