Abstract
An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay has been developed for detecting antibodies combined with red cell surface antigens. In the test, the fluorescence released from 4-methylumbelliferylphosphate is measured after exposure of antibody-coated red cells to alkaline phosphatase coupled to anti-human globulin. The assay is sensitive, reproducible, quantitative and potentially adaptable to an automatic analyzer system. Keywords
