Abstract
To determine the incidence of all forms of cardiac enlargement, 1000 infants were examined roentgenologically in the neonatal period. 16 patients showed considerable cardiac enlargement. Some cases of cardiac hypertrophy are probably associated with pathologic lung conditions. The association is not necessarily fatal and the enlargement may prove reversible. Keywords
