The height above ground at which red colobus in the Gombe National Park were observed to feed varied between seasons and between times of day. The feeding sites used by the animals varied between different age/sex categories of animals as well as between seasons and times of day. Comparisons of feeding niches in other primate species may need to take this kind of variation into account.
