Abstract
Volatilization of ammonia from black spruce raw humus treated with normal and coated urea was investigated in the laboratory in glass tanks. The patterns of ammonia volatilization were similar for the two forms of urea but less ammonia was volatilized from the samples receiving coated urea than from those treated with normal material.
