Abstract
The diamagnetic susceptibility of the nitrogen molecule has been calculated from wave functions that are constructed from gauge invariant atomic orbitals. The result is −13.539×10−6 which agrees satisfactorily with the average experimental value −13.3×10−6.Keywords
