Abstract
The authors present two methods for the design of perfect-reconstruction filter banks corresponding to a partition of the time-frequency plane into nonoverlapping pass regions. The first method is an extension of the concept of optimal time-frequency projection filters. The second method is an approximate filter bank design with reduced computational cost. Keywords
