Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to compare three techniques of measuring international differences in product design, and the economic significance of such differences. The techniques, namely discrimination analysis, differences in hedonic regressions, and non-parametric data envelopment analysis, are illustrated with recent data on the fridges and fridge-freezers available in the UK market. Keywords
