Abstract
We have measured the low-temperature dependence of the anisotropic penetration depth of magnetically aligned powders of ( and 3) down to 1.2 K. For both members the dependence of the in-plane penetration depth is strongly linear, whereas the out-of-plane component , for and 3, varies as and , respectively. For comparison, we also report data for grain-aligned ( and 0.43) which vary as and , respectively. The results are discussed in terms of wave symmetry of the order parameter in cuprates.
