Abstract
Long term observation of non-Hodgkin''s lymphomas indicates they can be sub-divided into 2 groups with respect to changes in the plasma proteins. The 1st group has acute phase reactant proteins raised during active disease and sometimes raised levels of .beta.2 m [microglobulin], while in remission the protein profile is normal. The 2nd group is typified by a chronic elevation of .beta.2 m and ESR but has normal C-RP levels. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia usually had a raised .beta.2 m level and normal acute phase proteins. A subset with low .beta.2 m is described. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
