Abstract
The quantum calculation of reactive scattering of H + H2 in a plane has been modified by the utilization of a new method for projection of the initial rotational manifold onto the final one at the matching surface. This bifurcation method corresponds to the ``labeled nuclei'' calculation and yields predominant backward scattering for the angular distributions of products in accord with those expected on both theoretical and experimental grounds. Results are presented and comparisons with previous work are made. Keywords
