Clinical Report of the Treatment of A Case of Pemphigus with Desoxycorticosterone Acetate

Abstract
A case of pemphigus complicated by severe furunculosis was treated at 1st for 7 wks. with a wide variety of internal and topical medication[long dash]including arsenates and sulfathia-zole and permanganate bath, without improvement. The patient was then treated with desoxycorticosterone acetate. Within a week of the beginning of this treatment improvement began and continued progressively until the complete disappearance of the cutaneous lesions. Subsequent occasional appearance of blebs regressed promptly after resumption of desoxycorticosterone acetate therapy for a short period.
