Abstract
All solutions of Einstein's field equations which represent a static perfect fluid are considered and a number of results for vacuum fields obtained by Ehlers and Kundt are generalized. All such solutions with a degenerate Weyl tensor are found explicitly. As is the case with vacuum fields of Ehlers and Kundt all the solutions obtained are found to admit at least a two-parameter group of local isometries. Keywords
