Abstract
The anisotropies of the temperature of the microwave background radiation due to gravitational effects of clusters of galaxies are studied in the frame of the potential approximation method. To describe a ‘typical’ cluster, we apply the general spherical model of pure infall of a compensated lump and normalize resulting density profiles to the Coma cluster density field. The predicted values of the temperature dip amplitude toward the cluster turn out to be well below the accuracy of present measurements.
