Abstract
The inclusion of lysine or of lysine with Emulphor 620 or Pluronics F68 increases the stability of a solution of streptokinase-activated plasminogen. Lysine plus Emulphor 620 greatly speeds up the development of caseinolytic activity in a solution of Cohn fraction III-3. Proteolytic activity thus produced may, within 5 hours, equal that produced by streptokinase. Where lysine and Emulphor 620 are present in the reaction mixture between Cohn fraction III-3 and streptokinase, higher fibrinolytic values appear than are produced by the same quantity of reactants without Emulphor and lysine. Keywords
