Abstract
Direct projections from the amygdala to the entire frontal cortex were demonstrated in the cat using the retrograde transport of horseradish peroxidase. Injections throughout the prefrontal cortex labeled neurons in the ipsilateral basal magnocellular amygdaloid nucleus; injections in the premotor and motor cortices labeled neurons in the same nucleus plus a few cells in the anterior amygdaloid area. Keywords
