Abstract
A simple algorithm is presented for passing a smooth curve through a set of points. The points are joined in pairs by separate arcs, the complete curve having tangential continuity. The x and y coordinates of each arc are given as cubics in a parameter t, where ds/dt remains close to unity, s being the arc length. The curve produced is invariant under axis rotation. The algorithm has been found useful in a wide variety of applications. Keywords
