Trapping and Transferring Small Amounts of Volatile Gas Chromatographic Fractions

Abstract
Traps, which are easily made, may be used to collect microgram amounts of highly volatile substances for temporary hold-up, for transfer without solvent to another chromatograph or to an infrared gas cell. The trap also provides a convenient means of determining retention time differences (from an internal standard) which are much more accurate for identifications than ordinary retention times.
