Abstract
A histological study has been made of the development and replacement of pelage hairs in the bandicoot, Perameles nasuta Geoffroy. Skin samples were taken from the mid-lateral region of the trunks of 18 specimens from eight different litters at estimated ages ranging from birth to 526 days.
