Abstract
Piecewise linear systems play an important role in nonlinear system modelling, but can be difficult to manage when it comes to analysing the system. This paper presents a compact, efficient algebraic description for a piecewise linear system and describes a method whereby a standard commercial graphical tool (SIMULINK) used for building and simulating systems can be exploited to generate the piecewise linear algebraic system description in a simple and quick manner. Keywords
