Abstract
Vertical versus horizontal instrument dial alignment and 5 different positions of 5 instrument pointers; 9 and 12 o'clock pointer positions in relation to horizontal and vertical alignment, and the effect of a prolonged learning period on pointer position differences; and performance with instrument separations of 4, 8, 12, and 16 inches were investigated. In general, optimum performance resulted with minimum instrument separation and horizontal pointer alignment. 19 references. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)Keywords
