Abstract
A case of hookworm infestation in a Tiahuanaco mummy dating from around 900 A.D. is presented. The worms found in the small intestine were identified as Ancylostoma duodenale. This is the first recorded case of hookworm infestation in the Americas prior to the coming of Europeans. Keywords
