Abstract
Several antineuronal antibodies have been found in patients with neurological paraneoplastic syndromes. In the past year the spectrum of clinical manifestations associated with these antibodies has expanded. New information on the characteristics of the inflammatory infiltrates in the nervous system of affected patients, and on the function and distribution of the neuronal antigens has become available. Studies have examined the possible role of antibodies in the pathogenesis of paraneoplastic disorders.
