Abstract
The effect of the RQ of isolated rat diaphragm respiring in glucose medium of the addition of growth-promoting pituitary preparations in vitro was studied. No relationship was found between growth-promoting activity in the hypophysectomized rat and RQ-depressing ability in vitro. The RQ-depressing factor appears not be growth hormone. Keywords
