State Educational Governance Patterns

Abstract
Several attempts to present a theory of the state politics of education have led to mixed results. These past attempts at theorizing about or modeling in the literature are reviewed and synthesized in a reconstructed framework based on the theoretical underpinnings of Tonnies and Weber. The developed framework also integrates and explains several studies that have here to fore been viewed as in conflict.
